“Harmonic Horizon,” is part of the Horizon Series, drawing inspiration from Lake Superior’s north shore and by the works of artist of George Morrison (1919–2000), the Native American Abstract Expressionist painter and sculptor whom I had the privilege to meet.
The horizon serves as an organizing structure for visual space—our most fundamental means of orientation.
The atmospheric glow of this piece is stunning. Subtle texture in the blue area contrasts with the brilliant lime band. The warm half crescent sun in the sky echos the blue half moon in the base. An energetic balance is achieved in this one of a kind hand made cast glass sculpture.
Comprising two separate castings that stack comfortably, it fits easily on a window sill, desk top or shelf. Museum gel is included, ensuring the pieces remain secure.
Bring the essence of the horizon and harmony into your home with this beautiful piece of fine craft.
Certificate of Authenticity accompanies the piece as well.
