Cast Glass and Stainless Steel
Size: 18 W x 11 H x 3 D in
“Incremental Growth” is an early piece in the Horizon series, inspired by Lake Superior’s north shore and by the works by the work of George Morrison (1919–2000), the Native American Abstract Expressionist painter and sculptor whom I had the privilege to meet.
The horizon serves as an organizing structure for visual space—our most fundamental means of orientation.
An abstract landscape blending urban shapes and naturals curves reveals an arial topography of the world below. Lime green and cool blues and gray suggest a transitional stage is underway in this one of a kind work of fine craft. It was made with carving and casting techniques and is lifted off a stainless steel base allowing daylight to circle the irregular form.
Perfect for a table top, shelf or perched on a window sill, “Incremental Growth” adds touch of contemporary decor to any space.
