Discover the tranquil beauty of “Measured Horizon,” a unique sculpture from the Horizon series. This exquisite piece, inspired by the north shore of Lake Superior and the paintings of George Morrison (1919–2000), the Native American Abstract Expressionist painter and sculptor whom I had the privilege to meet.
The horizon serves as an organizing structure for visual space—our most fundamental means of orientation.
Measured Horizon blends the structured forms of urban life with the organic curves of nature. The result is a serene, balanced setting that invites contemplation. Two moons inhabit separate fields and coexist in a peaceful whole.
This small table top sculpture is cast glass with wrapped metal foil edges. The colors are fused into the piece and will never fade. This piece of contemporary fine craft combines an interplay of glowing greens, soft gray, and serene blues and violet hues.
Imagine “Measured Horizon” gracing your bookshelf, desk, or a window sill, adding an expressive touch and splash of color. Its compact size makes it a versatile piece, perfect for bringing a sense of quietude and natural wonder into your world.
The two separate pieces stack comfortably and museum gel is included to ensure the pieces remain secure.
Certificate of Authenticity accompanies the piece as well.
